We've Moved! HillPAC and Friends of Hillary have returned to downtown DC. We are now located at 1825 K Street NW, Suite 1000; Washington DC 20006.

Celebrating Glamour's "Women of the Year 2008:" Glamour magazine honored Hillary Clinton at this year's "Glamour Women of the Year 2008" Awards ceremony this week in New York. Entertainment Tonight caught up with Senator Clinton, America Ferrera and others. According to America Ferrera:

"This has been a wonderful year for women and I think, you know, in large part due to Senator Clinton and I'm always honored to be in her company and I'm very honored to be here today." Watch the segment here.

Glamour calls Hillary Clinton "The Trailblazer," writing: This year Hillary Clinton did something very rare for a politician: She won while losing. No, she didn't reach the White House—but she motivated a new generation of women of every political stripe. Read more here.

Busy in the Senate: Senator Clinton held a conference call Tuesday calling for a comprehensive new stimulus package to jumpstart the ailing economy.

In a letter to President Bush and Senate leaders, Senator Clinton outlined a series of measures that would protect those Americans hit hardest by the recession and put the nation on the road to recovery, including: extending unemployment insurance benefits, providing assistance to financially strapped cities and states to prevent cuts to critical services, and investments in infrastructure and alternative energy projects that could quickly provide hundreds of thousands of new jobs while laying the foundation for future economic expansion.

Today in Albany, Senator Clinton also called for a new national commitment to revitalizing the nation's infrastructure and expanding and improving mass transit systems.  Delivering remarks at the New York State Public Transit Industry Fall Conference, Senator Clinton urged support for a sweeping new plan to improve existing transit systems, expand public transportation to areas that currently have limited access, and overhaul the process by which public transit is planned and financed.

Transitioning: HillPAC's Executive Director and Social Secretary during the Clinton Administration, Capricia Marshall, appeared frequently on TV this week discussing the First Family transition. Watch her discuss the transition with Wolf Blitzer here.

206 Votes in Minnesota: Senator Clinton e-mailed her supporters today re-emphasizing the importance of the recount in Minnesota and sending Al Franken to the Senate:

Just 206 votes. That's the difference separating Al Franken and Norm Coleman in the Minnesota Senate race -- 206 votes out of about 3 million cast.
In the coming days, Minnesota officials will carefully count every vote to make sure they get the most accurate count possible…

This time we're ready. The Franken Campaign is working hard to make sure every vote is counted -- but they need our help…

Help make sure this important election is decided fairly -- contribute today to Al Franken's campaign.

Virginia 2009: Clinton Campaign Chairman Terry McAuliffe announced this week that he would explore the opportunity of running for Virginia Governor in 2009. Terry's wife, Dorothy, sent the following email yesterday:

As you may know, Terry's been contemplating a run for governor of Virginia for some time now. And this week, he officially kicked off a two-month long process of touring the Commonwealth in order to initiate a conversation with fellow Virginians.

He'll make a final decision about whether to run for governor in early January.

That decision will be based in large part on what kind of enthusiasm is out there for his candidacy.

Honoring Our Veterans: Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton made the following statement marking Veterans Day:

"Today I join all Americans in honoring the brave men and women who have worn the uniform in service to our nation. These men and women have given so much for all of us. We owe them our freedom, our respect, and our gratitude demonstrated in our words and deeds. Veterans are veterans for life and they and their families deserve the support and services they have earned. That is why I have fought to improve veterans health care and to streamline the benefits claim process, and why I will continue to be a champion for veterans in the Senate. We must serve them as they have served all of us. Let us pay our respect today as we recommit ourselves to this solemn duty every day."

"These men and women are the best this nation has to offer, and they deserve to be treated as the best. We need to be there with open arms when our veterans need our support, and we must continue to stand with them over the years.  For all of these reasons, I continue to work on a variety of initiatives, including health care and beyond, to support and honor our veterans and their loved ones."

Dear Friend,

Just 206 votes. That's the difference separating Al Franken and Norm Coleman in the Minnesota Senate race -- 206 votes out of about 3 million cast.

In the coming days, Minnesota officials will carefully count every vote to make sure they get the most accurate count possible. But once again, Republicans want to interfere any way they can with the vote-counting. They're setting up legal challenges and questioning the voting officials' integrity.

This time we're ready. The Franken Campaign is working hard to make sure every vote is counted -- but they need our help. Al Franken needs to keep his campaign active to stop the Republican attacks and make Minnesotans' voices are heard.

Help make sure this important election is decided fairly -- contribute today to Al Franken's campaign.

The people of Minnesota have spoken, and I don't know who will end up winning the final count. But I do know that if Republicans succeed in stopping this count prematurely, we'll lose the chance at having a great fighter for Minnesota's families join me in the Senate.

Al Franken is a good friend who will give us a stronger and more effective Democratic majority in Congress. It's up to us to make sure he has what he needs to fight back against Republican attacks and make sure every vote is counted.

Help make sure every vote in Minnesota counts -- contribute right now to the Franken Campaign!

I know I can count on you to help my friend Al Franken. Thank you for your hard work.

Sincerely,
Hillary

Congratulations to President-Elect Barack Obama and Vice President-Elect Joe Biden! In a statement Monday night, Hillary congratulated Barack Obama and Joe Biden on their historic victory. Read the statement below:

Tonight, we are celebrating an historic victory for the American people. This was a long and hard fought campaign but the result was well worth the wait.

Together, under the leadership of President Barack Obama, Vice President Joe Biden, and a Democratic Congress, we will chart a better course to build a new economy and rebuild our leadership in the world. And I look forward to doing all that I can to support President Obama and Vice President Biden in the difficult work that lies ahead.

For too long, middle class families in this country have felt invisible, struggling alone as wages stagnate, jobs disappear, and the costs of daily life climb upward. In quiet, solitary acts of citizenship, American voters gave voice to their hopes and their values, voted for change, and refused to be invisible any longer.

NY1 also reports "Clintons Praise Obama Transition Aboard USS Intrepid:" Read more and watch.

Congratulations to the Democrats! Congratulations to all of the Democratic candidates who won Tuesday night and to those who ran great races.

Here are a few of the night's highlights:

New York brought good news for Democrats, with a gain of 3 new congressional candidates! Hillary worked hard in New York for Democrats at every level, headlining over 20 events and fundraisers and taping 16 robo calls. Democrats reclaimed the New York State Senate for the first time in 40 years! HillPAC also contributed over $35,000 to New York Democratic local and Congressional candidates.

After a hard-fought contest, former New Hampshire Governor Jeanne Shaheen won her Senate race against incumbent John Sununu. In addition to Senator Clinton headlining rallies for Jeanne Shaheen, HillPAC sent a fundraising email to Senator Clinton's supporters, and included New Hampshire residents in a GOTV "Bring Your Own Cell Phone" party. HillPAC donated $5,000 to the Shaheen campaign in addition to $5,000 donated to the New Hampshire Democratic Party.

"After Tuesday's election, women now make up the majority of the New Hampshire State Senate… It looks like those millions of cracks in the glass ceiling are spreading." Read more.

Kay Hagan also won a tough race for Senate in North Carolina. In addition to a fundraiser headlined by Senator Clinton that raised $50,000, HillPAC sent a fundraising email to Senator Clinton's supporters, and included North Carolina residents in a GOTV "Bring Your Own Cell Phone" party. HillPAC donated $5,000 to Kay Hagan's campaign in addition to $5,000 donated to the North Carolina Democratic Party.

Additional congratulations are in order to Mark Udall of Colorado, Mary Landrieu of Louisiana, Frank Lautenberg of New Jersey, and Tom Udall of New Mexico – all of whom Senator Clinton is excited to work alongside in the Senate.

Our fingers are crossed for the still-unresolved races where we hope Democrats pull through in Minnesota (Franken), Alaska (Begich), and Georgia (Martin).

In Case You Missed It: Karen Tumulty of Time Magazine interviewed Hillary last week for "The Once and Future Hillary." Excerpts below.

"I'm going to be focused, as I always have been, on what we're going to get done. I'm not interested in just enhancing my visibility. I'm interested in standing on the South Lawn of the White House and seeing President Obama signing into law quality, affordable health care for everybody, and voting in a big majority for clean, renewable energy and smarter economic policies. That's what I'm all about, and I'm going to use every tool at my disposal to bring it about…"

While she didn't achieve the Clinton Restoration, Hillary emerged from that race as the symbol of a movement that has come to represent the hopes and frustrations of millions of working-class Democrats…

Looking back on what she accomplished in the primaries, Clinton said, "I really felt like people were responding to my campaign in large measure because they feel invisible, that they have just been overlooked and marginalized in ways that undermine their hopes for the future and their capacity to realize their own dreams…"

Clinton put that star power to full use this fall, campaigning at more than 200 rallies and fund raisers for upwards of 80 candidates across the country…

Dear Friend,

We did it! In this incredible year, we have changed our politics, our country and our nation! And I could not be more proud or more grateful to you for sharing this journey with me. From the bottom of my heart, thank you so much for everything you have done, for me, for Barack Obama, and for all our Democratic candidates, to make these successes possible.

I know that President-Elect Barack Obama will lead our country in the new direction we need. And with the great success of our House and Senate candidates, we can make our agenda a reality.

But make no mistake -- our work is not done! I will be doing everything I can in the Senate, working closely with the White House on the goals you and I set out. With President Obama and our strengthened majorities in Congress, we can get our economy back on track. We're going to make sure every man, woman, and child in America has health care. With smart, effective new policies, we will move toward energy independence and create millions of new green jobs. And we're finally going to bring the war in Iraq to a responsible close and reestablish America's relations with our allies around the world.

We cannot do it without you. We're going to need your strong support on these issues. Those who oppose us may have lost yesterday, but they are not going to give up. We have to match their passion and their effort if we truly want to build the America we believe in, and the future our children deserve.

But today, let's celebrate the amazing things we have accomplished and the history we have made. Our journey has been marked with moments of elation and moments of sadness; but now we can take the time to appreciate the difference we have made.

I'm so proud to be on this journey with you. Thank you so much for everything you did -- for me, for our nation, and for our future.

Sincerely,
Hillary

Dear Friend,

Tomorrow we have the opportunity to make history.

Tomorrow we can elect Barack Obama, Joe Biden and Democrats up and down the ticket. Together, we can begin putting this country on the right track.

Tomorrow we can set a new course.

I am so proud of what we have accomplished together and in these final 24 hours I am asking you to come together once again for Barack Obama and Joe Biden. Let's spend every hour and every minute doing all we can. Vote, volunteer and work your heart out so that we can turn our country around.

Bill and I recorded a special message to share with you and I hope you will watch it and then I hope you will take action by joining us in this final push.
